What is Brain Mapping?

Brain Mapping, also known as Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG), is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that measures electrical activity in the brain. By using advanced software to analyze the brain's electrical patterns, we can create a detailed map of brain function. This map helps us identify abnormalities, dysfunctions, and imbalances in brain activity that may be contributing to mind health issues.

How Does Brain Mapping Work?

The procedure begins with the placement of a cap fitted with sensors on your scalp. These sensors are designed to detect and record the brain's electrical activity.

You sit comfortably while the sensors record their brain waves. This process is painless and typically takes about 20-30 minutes.

The recorded data is then processed through sophisticated software that compares your brain activity with a normative database. This comparison allows us to identify any deviations from typical brain function.

The final step involves creating a comprehensive brain map. This visual representation highlights areas of the brain that may be underactive or overactive, providing crucial insights into your mind condition.

What is RTMS ?

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive, advanced treatment for various mind health conditions, particularly depression. This innovative therapy uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, offering hope to the one who have not responded to traditional treatments.

How Does RTMS Work?

The purpose of rTMS treatment is to alleviate symptoms of specific mind health conditions and when other treatments have not been effective.

While rTMS is generally safe, potential side effects may include:

  • Mild headaches or scalp discomfort
  • Lightheadedness
  • Tingling, spasms, or twitching of muscles

Please inform your doctor if you have:

  • A history of seizures or epilepsy
  • Metal implants in your head
  • Severe heart disease
  • history of substance abuse

During

  • You will sit comfortably on a chair
  • An electromagnetic coil will be placed against your scalp to deliver magnetic pulses.
  • Each session typically lasts 30-60 minutes and will be conducted daily, five times a week.
After
  • Continue regular follow-ups with your mind care provider.
  • Report any side effects or unusual symptoms to your doctor.
  • Follow the treatment plan as advised by your healthcare provider.
